Most tourists (and many caravans throughout history) enter Petra through the Siq – a sinuous crevasse of red rock in many hues. At the end of the canyon, just like in Indiana Jones, is the gorgeous facade of the so-called “Treasury” building. Here I captured that moment of awe as Mina looked up and snapped the facade at about 8am after walking through the shaded, breezy Siq.
