When Mina and I woke up and toured Erice for a second time, we found a gorgeous medieval castle built on the ruins of an old fertility temple to venus. This is the same location as last week’s portal to the Tyrrhenian Sea, but a different view, looking down onto a romantic tiny castle built into the mountainside. (Photo taken in October 2010)
