Last week I traveled with Shekhar’s family to some sights in Maharashtra including this fort! Daulatabad fort is built atop an impressive large natural plateau of black stone. After climbing up many steps and crossing a bridge over a chasm/moat we got to a set of ruins. These ruins were just hanging on the edge of a cliff! It was an incredible sight that warmed the heart of this archaeologist-photographer and so I tried to capture the romanticism of the ruins and the great views across the plains beneath.
