U Bein Bridge is a famous site that every photographer in Burma must approach. Like the Taj Mahal or Great Wall of China, it challenges you because you know everything has already been done! It is famous because it is made entirely of Teak, is 200 years old (with repairs), and is quite long, over a shallow lake. Well, I took the same photograph that millions before me have snapped – i suppose I can hope that the connection between the subjects speaks of friendship among monks! (photo taken in August 2009)
