Children in Southeast Asia often staudy at a monastery for their formative years – it teaches them respect for religion, tradition, hard work, education, and humility – and it gets them room, board, and education at no expense to the family. Shweizigon is this Monastery/Temple where I photographed this cheerful young student-monk. (photo taken in August 2009)
