This doesn’t look like what I think of when I hear the word “glen.” I wouldn’t have trees in it and it would be wider. I have to look up glen!
Congratulations to how you succeed in making a great photo out of some completely unspectacular scene “in the middle of a forest on a sunny day”. The contrast between the light and shadow and the blue spots of the sky behind the trees are really exciting.
As Mina and I hiked the Appalachain Trail, I tried to visualize evocative photographs of the summer in the woods, and this calm, cool, breezy glen presented itself to me at about 4pm, and the sunlight streaming through the woods just begged to be captured by my camera. (photo taken in August 2010)
