Camp-mates are setting up a shade structure. You can see our RV to the right. Other peoples' cars are parked off-camera to the left.

People build a temporary tent city each year, then dissasemble it and clean up at the end of event. One of Burning Man's mottos is "Leave no trace", and people are mostly dilligent to pick up after themselves and do community service cleanup. This photo shows where I lived in 2005, inside the RV. In 2004 I lived in a tent, which was less comfortable and more affordable!
