This summer on a Maine road trip we stopped in the family-friendly “York Zoo” near the New Hampshire border. The most fun photography for me was the kitschy prairie dog exhibit where the charismatic rodents prepared for battle in a giant sand fort labeled “Alamo” with cannon battlements.
