Hiking In The Himalayas Photo-Essay

Departing the Himalayas in mid-June, we crossed the monsoon threshold. As we neared the hot and humid plains, moist winds buffeted us furiously as they clashed with the cold dry Himalayan air.
Suddenly we were encompassed in the oddest golden light, a hot wet monsoon storm that smelled fresh and sweet and filtered the oddest quality of bright summer sunlight through the moisture-laden stormy skies. |
