ENVIRONMENT: . . . . . . . . . . . The Playa
Burning Man takes place each year on a fossil lakebed 2 hours north of Reno in the Black Rock Desert, a National Preserve. This fossil lakebed, The Playa, is parched and dusty during this time of year, allowing for dust storms and dust devils, depending upon winds and human topsoil disturbance, that cause temporary seasonal erosion.
At first I almost digitally erased the sun flare on this photo, but I liked it and then exhibited it like this at a small gallery and it received a lot of attention and compliments, especially regarding that sun flare.
